Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. Private networks - We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Field Manager, you will be responsible for equipment installation, labelling, commissioning, and power works within our Coventry staging environment. You will regularly work on SDH/MPLS-TP, DWDM, Carrier Ethernet, and fixed OTDR devices. Supported daily by the Lead I&C Engineer and Commissioning Engineers, you will assist with testing to ensure readiness for field use. You will complete all tasks to a high standard, following build templates and adhering to health and safety policies. You will collaborate with the Project Engineer, providing updates on progress across sites.

What you’ll bring?

  • You have demonstrable engineering installation and commissioning experience, with strong Office 365 skills.
  • You follow documentation, learn new skills quickly, and maintain good timekeeping.
  • You adhere to health and safety rules, quality standards, and monitor build progress, reporting issues.
  • You communicate effectively and work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
  • You may have experience with Hitachi FOX/XMC or ADTRAN DWDM/Carrier Ethernet.
  • You demonstrate strong organisation, a proactive attitude, and commitment to development.
  • You hold relevant technical training, National Grid competent person with SC clearance, and experience in field engineering, meeting deadlines, and supporting team delivery.
