Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our clean water team safeguarding the quality, reliability, and performance of drinking water across our region. We work across complex network systems, enhancing, maintaining, installing, and repairing infrastructure from pipes to water meters, to ensure consistently high-water quality. Through proactive network management and resilient engineering, we help ensure communities have safe, dependable water supplies every day.

What will you be doing?

As our Supervisor you'll be a hands-on, site-based leader responsible for the safe, compliant, productive and high-quality delivery of dig and reinstatement works. Leading operational gangs daily, you will embed SHE, quality, Streetworks and hygiene disciplines as standard practice, ensuring work is completed efficiently and right first time. As the key link between gangs and the Senior Supervisor, you'll provide accurate updates, escalate risks early and take full ownership of site performance through visible, proactive leadership. You'll take full ownership of safety, customer experience and quality on all sites under your control. This includes delivering daily briefings, enforcing safe systems of work, challenging unsafe behaviours and ensuring all works meet required standards and specifications. You'll drive customer satisfaction by ensuring works are completed on time, right first time, managing complaints effectively and maintaining professional, compliant sites at all times. The role also requires strong focus on productivity, compliance and operational discipline. You'll plan daily activities, maximise gang performance and minimise delays, while ensuring full Streetworks and permit compliance. Maintaining accurate systems updates and hygiene standards (including FYLD and CAT compliance) is essential, alongside reducing rework, waste and downtime to deliver consistent, high-quality results.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience supervising dig and reinstatement or similar civils activities.
  • Strong understanding of SHE requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge of Streetworks and reinstatement standards.
  • Confident managing direct labour and subcontract gangs.
  • Practical, solution-focused approach with strong site leadership presence.
