Where will you be working? At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing? You'll be assisting in the improvement and maintenance of the highways network. Taking on a key role in the set-up of the Highways Dragon Patcher operations. We'll ask you to manage day to day maintenance of the Highways Dragon Patcher. You'll promote our health and safety culture and be responsible for undertaking works in a safe and compliant manner. You'll be responsible for undertaking programmed maintenance works as directed, whilst undertaking Location of Works Risk Assessments prior to commencing works on all sites. All associated related paperwork, including capturing and recording all information required by the process on the works tablet. You'll undertake winter gritting duties/overtime as directed. In addition to the Dragon Patcher activities/duties you may be at times asked to work as part of the operations team undertaking various duties. This will include excavation works, laying and levelling of kerbs, slabs and bitumen macadam, drainage and gully installations. You'll install traffic management under instruction in accordance with method statements with guidance as necessary, ensuring that work undertaken is in line with company standards. The role will involve responding to customers both internal and external in a courteous and helpful manner.

What you’ll bring:

  • UK driving license
  • HGV driving license (Test can be arranged through the business)
  • Previous experience of work on the highway
  • Experience/Certificated for operating small plant
  • Traffic Management qualification
  • NRSWA
