We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Cardiff area. You will be required to attend our Substations sites at least 3 days a week. A driving licence is required.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the financial success of our contracts, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive value and mitigate risk. Oversee all commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception to final account. Expertly manage and administer NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC), including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and payment applications. Implement robust cost control measures, produce accurate CVRs, and provide detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management. Proactively identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Manage the procurement and commercial administration of subcontractors, ensuring compliance and performance. Meticulously manage all contract variations and compensation events, negotiating and agreeing on fair and reasonable costs. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project teams. Potentially mentor and guide junior members of the commercial team.
