You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters. Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be visiting various properties throughout the day, working on Smart Meters in both homes and businesses. Do you enjoy helping people and making their lives easier? No need to worry about live electric work - no previous technical qualifications are required!
Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:
- Reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters
- Changing SIM cards, modems, and small gain aerials
- Re-joining smart devices to the network while in contact with energy companies
- Exchanging batteries on gas meters
- Completing site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties
What you'll bring:
- Located in Peterborough
- Full Manual Driving Licence
- Good geographical knowledge of your local and surrounding areas
- Quick to learn and eager to grasp new tasks and opportunities
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Experience with handheld tools is important
- Ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders while ensuring health and safety requirements are met
- Self-motivated and organised, as this is a lone working role
- Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
