You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.

Our meter readers install, maintain and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored. As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be visiting various properties throughout the day, working on Smart Meters in both homes and businesses. Do you enjoy helping people and making their lives easier? Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

  • Reconnecting Gas and Electric Smart Meters
  • Changing SIM cards, modems, and small gain aerials
  • Re-joining smart devices to the network while in contact with energy companies
  • Exchanging batteries on gas meters
  • Completing site surveys and other support tasks that require a field-based engineer to visit properties

Requirements:

  • Full Manual Driving Licence
  • Good geographical knowledge of your local and surrounding areas is key for this role
  • Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
  • Experience in a meter reading role, especially with smart meters, is a plus
  • Some electrical knowledge or qualification would be beneficial
