Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be part of the design team which covers the investigation and detail design of clean and waste water network, civil engineering and other projects principally, but not wholly, related to the water industry. You’ll take responsibility for less complex projects, or complex projects under the supervision of Lead Design Engineers. We’ll need you to produce and check technical documents within your area of expertise and produce construction packs ready for handover to site teams. You’ll liaise regularly with your project team ensuring that programme tasks and milestones are completed in accordance with expectations. You must ensure that all designs are completed to CDM 2015 Regulation.
What you’ll bring
- Educated to A levels or BTEC National
- Experience of using MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team
- Good knowledge of water and waste water systems including associated MEICA equipment and the relationship between the two, either through previous experience or education
- Experience of using AutoCAD 2D / GIS Software and a good knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015
- Awareness of Process Safety
- Good communication skills that can adapt to the audience (e.g. internal, clients, customers)
