As a Commercial Manager, you'll take responsibility for the strategy and execution of the commercial function on all tenders and projects in the region.
You’ll train and develop staff to improve knowledge and commercial performance. Drive commercial success by shaping and executing project strategies in partnership with the Portfolio Manager. Champion HSEQ leadership while inspiring and developing high-performing commercial teams through training and mentorship.
Lead tender reviews, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver robust CVR and progress reporting to senior leadership. Collaborate with Finance and Project Teams to optimize forecasts, cashflow, and business plan performance. Oversee procurement, ensure contractual compliance, and spearhead improvements in regional commercial performance through innovation, training, and strategic leadership.
Commercially astute with substantial proven experience in a similar role, ideally working on National Grid substation projects. Expert knowledge of standard forms of contract including NEC 3/4, JCT & FIDIC. Understanding of programme techniques and project controls. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites.
