Where will you be working?
MEICA and capital maintenance – Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for maintaining various water assets, including:
- CSO Valves
- Penstocks
- Hydraulic Power Units
- Isolation Gates
- Inspection of chambers and valve equipment
- Inspection of fixed equipment
What we need from you?
- Youll have proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- You\’ll have strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Youll have demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Be effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Youll have problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective solutions.
Whats essential?
- Previous mechanical experience
- Trained or qualified as an apprentice, or to an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Successful completion of ONC/HNC in Engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong focus on safety and quality, with a collaborative teamwork approach
- Full UK drivers license
Advantageous:
- Experience with mobile plant (FLT, MEWP)
- Work at Height certification
- Manual Handling qualification
- Confined Space Entry experience
- Pendent Crane use experience
