As a Smart Metering Engineer, you'll be exchanging traditional meters for smart, along with responding to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of E.ON NEXT, ensuring customers' Smart Meters are working correctly. Customer service is our top priority. You'll make sure that all jobs are completed on time and our customers are explained the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter.

You'll be travelling around your area using your tablet to see your jobs for the day. You'll also be provided with continuous training to maintain and develop your skills. 83% of our field management team have been internally promoted up from an Engineer.

What you'll bring:

  • Valid UK driving licence (held for 1 year and have less than 6 points)
  • CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel
  • Experience installing gas and electric smart meters
  • Bonus qualifications such as REGT1 (Medium Pressure) and 3 phase
  • Ideally registered on the EUSR portal
