Where you'll be working?
BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing?
- You will provide supportive line management for all LV Engineering colleagues, carrying out performance reviews, setting clear objectives, and guiding development.
- You will champion wellbeing, engagement, and retention while managing any people related processes with fairness and care.
- You will mentor the engineering team, plan resources, balance workloads, and monitor capacity to shape future needs.
- You will support succession planning, uphold quality standards, and contribute to audits and technical reviews.
- You will maintain strong documentation, embed safety in all activities, collaborate closely with wider teams, and play an active role in business planning, growth, and coordination meetings.
What you'll bring:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Significant experience in LV control panel, MCC, or industrial electrical engineering.
- Previous experience managing engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards and quality requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience within the UK Water or Utilities sector.
