Role is to join our Civils Projects delivery team in the Eastern Region, working in Peterborough.

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll lead associated site team including engineering teams and subcontractors to successful completion of works.
  • Produce short term programmes from the Contract Programme and communicate it with the wider team.
  • Be responsible for recording the as-built information and change items.
  • Monitor site activities against target programmes reporting exceptions in outputs, delays etc.
  • Ensure change on site is identified and recorded in line with the NEC contract conditions.
  • Support the site engineering teams and provide guidance.
  • Monitor all works activities to ensure that they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of our behavioural based safety initiative, It Starts With Me.
  • Complete a site diary, organise and deliver site inductions and daily briefings, keep good site records and ensure all subcontractors and operatives have the relevant documentation to start work safely.

What you’ll bring

  • A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks, drainage and structures in a highways environment.
  • A sound commercial foundation to facilitate cost control.
  • Effective team management, leadership and influencing skills to get the best from everyone.
  • Excellent customer skills and the ability to work collaboratively in all situations.
  • The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels including the client, colleagues and members of key stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise, whilst multi-tasking for many stakeholders, and still remaining focused on what’s most important.
