Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Electricity Transmission division. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.
What you'll be doing?
- Team up with subject matter experts to create and improve easy-to-follow work instructions
- Simplify and refresh documents to make them clearer and more user-friendly
- Work with Safety, Design, and senior teams to get everything signed off and risk-free
- Make sure all company procedures are built into instructions
- Collaborate with Quality, Site, and Engineering teams to keep documents accurate and up to date
- Bring in lessons learned and best practice to keep improving content
- Keep the SharePoint work instruction library organised and current
- Review changes and updates to make sure nothing important is missed
- Support the Training team to bring instructions to life in learning materials
- Visit sites, see how things really work, and gather feedback to improve processes
- Champion safety, professionalism, and company values every day
- Pitch in where needed to support the wider team
What You’ll Bring
- Great organisation skills and a keen eye for detail
- Someone who’s proactive and happy to work independently
- Confident using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in document control (ideally within engineering or projects)
- Good understanding of CDM regulations
- Background in a drawing office or similar environment
- AutoCAD or SketchUp experience is a bonus
