What will you be doing? Reporting to the Field Manager, you will lead installation, commissioning, and site documentation tasks, often requiring travel and overnight stays. Your role involves deploying SDH, MPLS-TP, and DWDM equipment to support a nationwide network upgrade. Collaborating with project engineers, youll ensure successful delivery for both client and company. On-site, youll work under the guidance of the Senior Authorised Person, adhering to safety protocols and site regulations. When challenges arise, youll be expected to resolve them by consulting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Technical Design Authorities (TDAs), and third-line support as needed to maintain project momentum and quality standards. What youll bring? Proven experience as a field or senior telecoms engineer on large-scale, tech-driven projects. Familiar with SDH and DWDM, with hands-on commissioning of SDH, PDH, DWDM, and IP systems. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with high computer literacy. Must be SC Clearance eligible. Experience with Hitachi/ABB XMC/FOX, Adtran DWDM, and substation environments. Essential certifications include Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+, NEBOSH, and NG Competent Persons. Skilled in managing engineering teams and delivering complex telecoms solutions.
