Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.
What will you be doing?
- Managing the pipeline of sales and bidding performance.
- Developing and deploying a team of 4 expert bid resources to ensure we secure contracts in line with our business plan.
- Driving continuous improvement of the department and its processes.
- Ensuring all tenders follow the governance process.
- Managing lines of communication with the client procurement teams.
- Communicating the bid pipeline with key internal stakeholders, to ensure all bids are resourced effectively.
- Managing library of bid management content.
- Complying with all relevant company policies and procedures, and ensuring you lead by example with regards to the businesses values.
What you'll bring
- Background in a construction / utility-based sector.
- Experience with NEC contracts.
- A minimum of five years experience in bid management.
- Proven experience in managerial positions.
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Robust skills in Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Degree qualified (not essential).
- Ability to communicate confidently and concisely about products or services.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent bid writing and proof reading skills.
- Able to travel when required.
