This role will be a Environment & Sustainability Manager as part of our SHEQ team.

What will you be doing?
As the Environment & Sustainability Manager, you're role will be based in Scotland.
You'll lead environment and sustainability across the region, driving measurable improvements and embedding environmental excellence in operations.
Ensuring compliance with legislation and the Environmental Management System, and you will lead assurance activities including audits, incident investigations and corrective actions.
You'll lead, develop and resource-plan a team of Environmental Advisers and Sustainability Advisers, building capability, training and best practice.
Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, clients and regulators, we'll ask you to communicate performance, risks and opportunities and drive cross-contract collaboration.
In this role you will identify and champion innovations and digital solutions, developing business cases that deliver long-term value.
You will also support work winning, business development and contract mobilisation by providing critical environmental inputs. *Please note this is only a job advert, not all key responsibilities our outlined.

What youll bring
Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline, plus Chartered membership of ISEP (or equivalent), e. g., CEnv / CISEP (or working towards).
Experience of delivering works granted by planning permission or Section 37 agreement.
ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification (or equivalent environmental management system/auditing experience).
At least 5 years proven environmental leadership/management experience within large-scale construction, infrastructure, highways or utilities, including leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple projects or contracts.
Strategic, analytical and commercially aware, able to use data and risk analysis to make evidence-based decisions and translate strategy into practical delivery.
