Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. In our Energy Infrastructure Division, we focus on building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps electricity flowing. From substations to transmission lines, our work makes sure homes, businesses, and communities across the UK have the power they need. You’ll be working across a mix of exciting overhead line projects in either North Wales or Yorkshire. It’s a hands-on, site-focused role, so you’ll be out where the action is (expect at least three days a week on-site). It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, long-term project security, and being right at the heart of delivery.

What will you be doing? You’ll assist with managing subcontractor accounts, preparing reports, and tracking project finances, ensuring compliance and minimising risks. From monitoring risk registers to valuing variations, you’ll play a vital role in keeping projects efficient and profitable. This position also involves producing financial forecasts, analysing quotations, and working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Commercial staff. You’ll support the recovery of contract costs, streamline processes, and contribute to monthly financial reviews.

What you’ll bring:

  • NEC Experience (essential)
  • Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Clerk role
  • Subcontract Management experience
  • Exposure to large scale infrastructure projects
  • Full UK Driving Licence
