Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
This role is focused on providing control, consistency, and insight across multiple programmes, ensuring planning supports and actively drives delivery outcomes. You'll work closely with Project Delivery Managers (PDMs), Project Engineers, and Commercial teams, the Planning Lead to ensure all programmes are robust, aligned to contractual requirements, and provide a clear basis for decision-making, while also leading and supporting planners to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs across the portfolio. The role will act as the central point of accountability for planning across the framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate planning activities across multiple projects
- Ensure consistency in programme structure, logic, and outputs
- Oversee programme updates, reporting, and submissions
- Identify risks, delays, and opportunities across the portfolio
- Support and challenge delivery teams to ensure credible programmes
- Produce clear, structured portfolio-level reporting
- Lead, support, and develop planners within the team
- Drive continuous improvement in planning standards and processes
What you'll bring:
- Strong proven experience using Primavera P6 and managing multiple programmes/projects
- Strong understanding of programme logic and sequencing
- Ability to communicate programme outputs clearly to stakeholders
- Proactive approach with a focus on improving delivery outcomes
- Experience working with and supporting delivery teams (PDMs / Engineers)
