Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. Private networks - We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?

The FLM Engineer supports telecom projects across the South East, with some travel required. Responsibilities include first line maintenance, installation, and commissioning of small works, on a 1-in-7 shift rota covering 24/7/365. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting fixed/mobile telecom equipment, managing tickets to SLA standards, updating documentation, and performing risk assessments. Tasks also include street cabinet work, preventative maintenance, site surveys, and reporting. The engineer will be required to respond to NOC requests, communicate professionally, and assist in team training. Full training will be provided to support all technical duties.

What you’ll bring?

  • You will be competent in using power tools, ladders, and hand tools, with a strong set of IT skills including Microsoft products, basic DOS commands, and VT software.
  • You will be able to operate and understand new equipment, with analytical skills to assist in fault resolution.
  • You will have a solid understanding of telecoms systems and components.
  • You will demonstrate an excellent work ethic, vibrant personality, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organisational skills, conscientious and flexible, with the ability to forecast demand and respond promptly to tasks.
  • You’ll need to be within reasonable commuting distance of our East and West London sites (ideally 10-15 miles) and able to respond to site requirements promptly.
