Where will you be working? At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.
What will you be doing? We are looking for an Assets and Logistics Lead to join our Telecoms Division. This role is key to supporting daily operations and keeping everything running smoothly. You will work with a positive and established team that values collaboration and flexibility. Your main focus will be managing stock and ensuring depot safety. You will also travel to regional sites each week and stay away from home when needed. This role needs someone who can adapt and support the business wherever required. You will work closely with depots in your region to provide cover, support and training. You will visit subcontractor sites to complete stock checks and help teams understand processes. You will manage stock levels, highlight risks and make sure stock is received and issued on time. You will also carry out audits and keep records accurate. Depot management is part of the role. You will make sure safety tasks are completed quickly and take pride in keeping sites in good order. At times, you will work alone and need to use your own initiative. Building strong relationships with colleagues and partners is important. This role may involve extra hours and working across different depots when required. You will need to communicate well at all levels and show a professional approach in everything you do. What you’ll bring; You will have a good understanding of health and safety in the workplace. You can communicate clearly and confidently with different people. You are comfortable using a computer and know how to work with Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook. You are organised and structured in how you work and can plan your week effectively. You have experience with a forklift or similar plant machinery, or you have had training in this area. You hold a full UK driving licence. You have worked in logistics or stores before and understand what is needed to keep things running smoothly.
