Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. This will be working on our SSEN OHL contracts throughout Scotland if you’re based in Scotland and happy to travel across sites, we want to hear from you!
What will you be doing? As a Wayleave Officer, your key responsibility will be to manage access to the parts of the site which are covered by Undertakings, Easements and Wayleaves. You’ll work with the clients land & development team and their grantors (landowners) to agree site access routes and resolve any issues. You’ll take the initiative to review and amend the access routes to meet the planned activity and gaining approval of the grantor and client.
- Maintain records of site access agreements and updates
- Liaise with land officers, site teams, and stakeholders to secure access consents
- Respond to and log daily access-related queries
- Update drawings, schedules, and client portals with changes
- Inspect and monitor access routes for compliance and safety
- Coordinate with authorities and utilities for access permissions
- Manage public rights of way (PROW) during construction
- Maintain access concerns log for weekly client meetings
- Support RAMS reviews related to access
- Assist with condition surveys, minor repairs, and route handbacks
- Escalate unresolved stakeholder issues to the client
What you’ll bring
