At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.
We’re looking for a hands-on Supervisor to lead our teams. This is a key role where you’ll help us deliver high-quality telecoms work across the region. You’ll be out in the field, making sure everything runs smoothly, safely and on time. You’ll work closely with our crews and make sure they have what they need to get the job done. You’ll check the work, solve problems and keep things moving. You’ll also be the link between our teams and the client, so clear communication is vital. This role is all about action. You’ll be planning, checking, guiding and improving. You’ll help us meet targets and keep standards high. You’ll also support your team, helping them grow and succeed.
We work mainly with Openreach, so you’ll be part of a long-term contract with a trusted name in telecoms. You’ll be joining a company that values hard work, fairness and doing things right. The successful candidate must hold a valid NRSWA Supervisor Street Works qualification (Units 1016) to oversee works on the public highway. Smart Awards accreditation, specifically the Network Operative Passport Scheme (NOPS), is essential. Passive Infrastructure Access (PIA) certification is desirable, particularly for experience within Openreach environments. A full UK driving licence is required due to the mobile nature of the role. Experience or strong familiarity with Openreach infrastructure, including FTTP and HFC networks, is highly desirable. Candidates should have a solid understanding of telecommunications engineering, particularly underground civils and cable installation. A strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and local authority permitting processes is essential, along with the ability to work compliantly and professionally within complex stakeholder environments.
