Where you’ll be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What you’ll be doing?

  • You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of site activities in line with the approved programme and construction methodology.
  • You’ll lead and coordinate multiple work fronts, including civils, tunnelling interfaces, and trunk main installation, providing clear direction to subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality.
  • Your role also includes inspecting and auditing site works to ensure high standards are consistently met.
  • You’ll champion a zero-harm safety culture by ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations, permits, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
  • This includes managing high-risk activities such as deep excavations, shafts, confined spaces, lifting operations, temporary works, and tunnelling interfaces.
  • You’ll ensure robust environmental controls are in place, covering groundwater management, pollution prevention, waste segregation, and noise and dust mitigation.
  • Quality delivery will be supported through ITPs, inspections, hold points, and effective defect management.
  • You’ll be working closely with the site agent, to develop and manage short-term and weekly look-ahead programmes, coordinating labour, plant, materials, logistics, and subcontractors.
  • You’ll oversee subcontractor performance, lead site briefings and coordination meetings, and set clear expectations that drive accountability and collaboration.
  • You’ll support the development of engineers and supervisors through mentoring and on-the-job coaching, while promoting continuous improvement through lessons learned and best-practice sharing.
