Do you have experience in a similar level role, balancing a portfolio of multiple projects? As a Commercial Manager, you'll take responsibility for the strategy and execution of the commercial function on all tenders and projects in the region.

  • You’ll train and develop staff to improve knowledge and commercial performance.
  • Drive commercial success by shaping and executing project strategies in partnership with the Portfolio Manager.
  • Champion HSEQ leadership while inspiring and developing high-performing commercial teams through training and mentorship.
  • Lead tender reviews, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver robust CVR and progress reporting to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Project Teams to optimize forecasts, cashflow, and business plan performance.
  • Oversee procurement, ensure contractual compliance, and spearhead improvements in regional commercial performance through innovation, training, and strategic leadership.

Commercially astute with substantial proven experience in a similar role, ideally working on National Grid substation projects. Expert knowledge of standard forms of contract including NEC 3/4, JCT & FIDIC. Understanding of programme techniques and project controls. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across regional sites.
