Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. Based at our Bury St Edmunds (Higham) office in Suffolk, you’ll be joining Aran, part of M Group Energy - an industry-leading provider of retrofit and energy efficiency solutions. With a strong reputation for quality and delivery, Aran is focused on raising standards across installation projects while improving the comfort, cost of living and sustainability of UK homes.

What will you be doing? As a Field Technical Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring health and safety standards are consistently delivered across our retrofit installation sites. This is a field-based role, where you’ll work closely with operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors supporting safe working practices and promoting a strong safety-first culture across all projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out site inspections, safety observations and compliance checks across projects
  • Monitoring working practices to ensure alignment with RAMS, company procedures and legal requirements
  • Identifying risks, unsafe behaviours or conditions and supporting corrective actions
  • Delivering toolbox talks, training sessions and safety briefings to site teams and subcontractors
  • Reviewing site documentation (risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, PPE compliance)
  • Maintaining clear records of inspections, observations and actions taken
  • Supporting investigations into incidents, near misses and root cause analysis
  • Identifying trends, risks and opportunities to improve safety performance
  • Working alongside Contracts Managers, Supervisors and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement

You’ll be instrumental in creating a culture where everyone takes responsibility for safety helping ensure we deliver work that’s right first time, every time.

What you’ll bring: We’re looking for someone who’s confident in the field, passionate about safety, and able to positively influence teams on-site. You’ll bring:

  • Experience working in construction, retrofit or field-based operational environments
  • A strong understanding of construction health and safety practices
  • Experience carrying out site inspections and safety observations
  • The ability to engage and build relationships with site teams, installers and subcontractors
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • A proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge and improve ways of working

Essential qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • CSCS card (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable qualifications but not deal breakers:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or Working Safely
  • SSSTS qualification
  • Experience delivering toolbox talks
  • Knowledge of retrofit installation activities such as insulation, ventilation or renewable technologies
