Where you'll be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What you'll be doing?

  • Carrying out allocated tasks safely and efficiently, including groundwork, utilities installation, maintenance, and civil engineering activities.
  • Working as part of a multi-skilled crew, supporting colleagues and reporting progress, issues, and updates to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Following all site safety procedures, wearing the appropriate PPE, and identifying and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Delivering work to the required specifications, ensuring high standards of accuracy, quality, and workmanship.
  • Operating, cleaning, and maintaining tools, equipment, and plant machinery in line with your training and authorisation.

What You'll bring?

  • Previous experience working as an operative or labourer, ideally within the utilities, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
  • A valid CSCS card or equivalent health and safety certification.
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) accreditation relevant to the role.
  • Manual Handling and/or First Aid qualifications.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Proven experience working cooperatively as part of a team to achieve shared objectives.
  • The physical fitness required to carry out manual tasks, including lifting, digging, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
