Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
What will you be doing?
- Manage ER cases across multiple case types including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and performance matter up to and including ACAS Conciliation where necessary.
- Coach and guide managers to handle issues confidently and early.
- Support managers in the preparation of case materials and outcome documents in high-risk cases.
- Maintain accurate case records and progress tracking on the designated CMS (Freshdesk/Oracle).
- Communicate or escalate complex or high-risk matters to the Lead ER Specialist or Head of ER Operations.
- Support training, briefings and capability-building work.
- Support ER Advisor development.
- Contribute to the continued development of our Group Policies and Templates Suite through partnership with the Policy and Compliance Team.
- ER Projects (from time to time) including supporting TUPE, Union or Redundancy Programmes and issues within assigned business areas.
- Settlement agreements (where applicable).
What you’ll bring
- Previous People Business Partner/ER Casework experience (e.g., PBP or experienced ER Advisor).
- Practical, steady, and confident communication.
- Organised and proactive in progressing cases.
- Commercially aligned and can advise on business outcomes (i.e. Settlements) where necessary.
- Engaged and enthused about developing more complex ER skills. (Unions, TUPE, Redundancy, NAECI, higher risk case work).
