Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
What will you be doing: We’re recruiting for an Electrical Safety Compliance Advisor. Your principal duty is to provide support to all the businesses and contracts within the energy division at M Group. Ensuring all staff that work or operate on or near the various electricity networks conduct themselves in accordance with the companies and Client safety procedures to maintain Safety from the System and return home each day safely. M Group Energy Division are a national business and travelling throughout the UK with up to several nights away is an integral part of the role (Car benefit included). A full UK driving licence is required for this role. The Energy Division Electrical Safety Compliance Advisor reports to the Divisional Electrical Safety Manager.
- Ensuring all staff are assessed as competent and authorised for their assigned duties.
- Management of the safety passport scheme supporting contracts in the completion of technical audits on operatives.
- Acting as the assessing officer on a wide range of electrical civil disciplines:
- Substation access LV up to 400kV (Essential)
- Jointing LV up to 400kV (Essential)
- Electrical fitting (Essential)
- Authorised persons and Senior Authorised persons (Essential)
- Overhead linesman (Desirable)
- Commissioning engineers (Essential)
- BS7671 electricians (Desirable)
What you’ll bring:
- NEBOSH General or Construction certificate
- Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel
- Environmental Qualifications desirable
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
- Ability to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
- Capable of delivering confident articulate presentations
