This role sits within our People Services team, supporting our Early Careers function as we attract, develop, and nurture the next generation of talent through our apprenticeship and graduate programmes. As Early Careers Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality early careers pathways, working closely with senior leaders and the wider team to continuously improve programmes that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned to our future skills needs.

Please note: This is a nationwide role and will involve regular travel across both the north and south of the UK. Outside of travel, the role will be home-based. Due to the level of travel required, we are ideally seeking candidates based in the Midlands or central UK locations. Applicants must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout the UK.

In this role, you’ll support our early careers recruitment activity, including assessment centres and inductions, while providing coaching and pastoral support to apprentices, placements, and graduates. You’ll also work with line managers to help them confidently support early careers talent.

You’ll oversee the delivery and ongoing development of the Early Careers Development Programme, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and managing relationships with training providers and End Point Assessors. Alongside this, you’ll champion early careers across the business and externally, supporting events and outreach activity, promoting inclusion and diversity, and line managing an Early Careers Adviser.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience within the built environment or a similar sector
  • Strong background in early careers programmes (apprenticeships, placements, graduates)
  • Good knowledge of apprenticeship funding and compliance
  • Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • People management experience
  • Experience working with training providers and assessors
  • Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills
