This role will be within our Metering team, you'll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity and water meters.

As a Smart Metering Engineer, you'll be exchanging traditional meters for smart, along with responding to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of E.ON NEXT, ensuring customers' Smart Meters are working correctly. Our smart metering partnership with E.ON NEXT is in its twelfth year, built on continuous high performance, resulting in multiple contract extensions.
Customer service is our top priority. You'll make sure that all jobs are completed on time and our customers are explained the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter. Do you enjoy working on your own, chatting to customers and meeting new people?
As part of your day, you'll be completing the installation and ensuring the ongoing maintenance of smart meters in our customers' homes. There's an uncapped bonus for any extra jobs you complete too.
You'll be travelling around your area using your tablet to see your jobs for the day. You'll also be provided with continuous training to maintain and develop your skills. 83% of our field management team have been internally promoted up from an Engineer. Do you want extra training to make sure your knowledge is up to scratch? You'll be on weekly meetings, catch ups and our Field Managers are always there to come out and offer a helping hand or assistance.
Valid UK driving licence required. Do you have a CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 all with MET1, or hold an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel? Are you experienced installing gas and electric smart meters? Bonus qualifications such as REGT1 (Medium Pressure) and 3 phase are advantageous.
