Whatever stage you're at in your career, with us you'll have an opportunity to grow and develop. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. We're recruiting a Design Engineer with expertise in OHL (Overhead Lines) for our Energy Division. This role is hybrid to our Nottingham office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret project requirements and develop engineering solutions that meet applicable standards.
  • Produce design calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and supporting documentation.
  • Carry out site visits, inspections, surveys and assessments to gather design information.
  • Record site data accurately and identify risks, constraints or opportunities relevant to design development.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including engineers, technicians, project managers, planners and delivery teams.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders and third parties to resolve design queries and obtain required information.
  • Ensure coordinated design outputs across all related disciplines.
  • Follow internal design procedures, quality standards and assurance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate design records, version control and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement or innovation in design processes.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient in using PLS CADD and Tower software.
