Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?

M Group are recruiting for Operatives to join our Smart Metering Contract within the Water Division. You'll be responsible for assisting the Team Leader in completing works such as making sure all plant is in good working order. We'll need you to ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and signed. You'll be responsible for clearing sites and making sure it's safe for public use after the completion of works along with making sure compound, barriers and signage are correct. We'll need you to complete all works as instructed by the Team Leader.

What you’ll bring:

  • Have you gained Manual Handling qualification?
  • Do you have First Aid at work?
  • Do you hold a valid UK driving licence?
  • Have you got proven water industry experience? This is required due to the nature of the role.
  • Have you got Cat & Jenny 1 & 2? This is desired but not essential.
