This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
You'll be an experienced Commissioning Manager responsible for leading and coordinating commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle, from design review through to handover and qualification. Works closely with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and commissioning specialists to ensure systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned effectively. Provides technical input during design, manages commissioning procurement packages, monitors commercial performance, and develops commissioning programmes to meet project milestones. Strong knowledge of HVAC and building services systems, with a proven ability to drive programme performance, quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Minimum HNC qualified in Building Services or Building Studies.
- Experienced in managing the commissioning phase of turnkey projects including HVAC, mechanical and electrical works.
- Experienced in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets is preferred particularly in the construction of laboratories and cleanrooms.
- Working knowledge of company safety and quality procedures.
- IT literate and conversant with Microsoft Office, Outlook and Project.
- Fully conversant with CDM regulations and able to operate at senior level in fulfilling the role of principal contractor.
