We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
M Group is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Water Division on the Anglian Water contract in Colchester. You'll work as part of a skilled team delivering engineering solutions across the water treatment sector.
Day to day you'll assemble and fit mechanical components from engineering drawings along with carrying out basic steel and plastic fabrication. You'll prepare, build, and adapt assets to specification and monitor build progress and support project delivery deadlines. We'll need you to maintain tools, equipment, and stock levels along with completing installation, commissioning, and service activities on and off site. You'll ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company procedures and follow all Health & Safety standards and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical fitting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You must be willing to travel across various sites throughout East Anglia.
