Where will you be working?
Aviation - Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.
What will you be doing?
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and commissioning works on site
- Lead, manage, and support our AGL technicians and trainees to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
- Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations, standards (e.g. BS 7671), and company procedures
- Liaise with site manager to plan daily activities
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets required standards
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements and lead by example on site
- Identify and resolve technical issues or installation challenges on site
- Monitor materials usage, request resources, and prevent waste or delays
- Support inspections, testing, certification, and handover documentation
- Report progress, labour hours, issues, and risks to management
- Mentor apprentices and support training and competency development
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership and the ability to motivate and manage site teams effectively
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and fault-finding
- A proactive approach to health, safety, and compliance, with a clear focus on working safely
- Extensive understanding of relevant regulations and standards (e.g. BS 7671)
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to deliver works on time and within budget
- The confidence to make sound decisions and resolve on-site issues quickly
- High standards of workmanship and a strong quality-driven mindset
- Clear and effective communication with operatives, management, clients, and other trades
- Experience coordinating multiple activities in live or high-risk environments
- Accurate reporting and record-keeping, including progress, labour, and site documentation
- A hands-on, can-do attitude with the ability to lead by example
- Commitment to developing apprentices and supporting team competence
- Flexibility and resilience when working to changing programmes or site constraints
