Where will you be working? At M Group, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will sit within our Energy Bids team, supporting business growth across multiple sectors and services. Working closely with Bid Managers, Business Development teams and operational colleagues across the UK, you'll play a key role in ensuring our winning stories, evidence and expertise are captured, organised and readily available to support high-quality bid submissions. This is a highly collaborative role with extensive UK travel. You'll spend time visiting operational sites, regional offices and project locations, working directly with frontline teams and subject matter experts to understand how we deliver for our customers and transform that knowledge into compelling bid content.

What will you be doing? As a Bid Content & Knowledge Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving our bid knowledge library and content resources, ensuring our Bid Managers have access to accurate, compelling and evidence-based content that helps us win work. You'll become the central point of contact for bid content across the Energy business, building strong relationships with stakeholders nationwide and capturing the stories, proof points and delivery successes that bring our submissions to life. Working across operations, SHEQ, commercial teams, business development and bid management, you'll identify, organise and maintain reusable content, while helping to improve bid efficiency, quality and consistency across the business.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Knowledge & Content Management
    • Owning and maintaining the bid library and SharePoint knowledge hub
    • Managing a library of reusable content including case studies, methodologies, CVs, accreditations, policies and capability statements
    • Ensuring information remains current, accessible, accurate and easy to find
    • Developing governance processes and content review frameworks
    • Identifying content gaps and proactively sourcing new information to strengthen future bids
    • Supporting Bid Managers throughout the bid lifecycle by providing relevant and high-quality content
    • Maintaining a structured repository of evidence, customer outcomes and supporting materials for future opportunities
  • Business Engagement & Content Capture
    • Travelling extensively across the UK to visit offices, operational sites and project locations
    • Building strong relationships with operational, commercial and support teams across the business
    • Capturing real delivery stories, customer outcomes, lessons learned and project successes
    • Working directly with subject matter experts to gather technical and operational information
    • Collecting photographs, examples, proof points and evidence that demonstrate our capabilities
    • Transforming business knowledge into content that supports customer-focused and winning submissions
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensuring all content reflects current business capabilities and strategic priorities
    • Supporting continuous improvement of knowledge management processes and content standards
    • Improving the accessibility and usability of our bid content resources
    • Supporting the wider bid team by helping to drive consistency and quality across submissions

What you'll bring:

  • Experience managing bid content, knowledge libraries or proposal resources within a bidding, proposals or business development environment
  • Strong SharePoint administration and content management experience
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into compelling, reusable content
  • Experience creating case studies, proof points, success stories and supporting bid collateral
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working with subject matter experts
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK

It would be great if you have:

  • Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, decarbonisation, smart metering or field services environments
  • Experience using AI tools to support content development and knowledge management
  • Understanding of public sector procurement and tendering processes
