Where will you be working? At BGEN we help our clients in building new assets and to optimise existing assets, which play a crucial role in reducing carbon footprints to meet net-zero targets. We are skilled at navigating complex regulated environments and are the powerhouse technical engineering and digital solutions offering in the UK market. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility and accountability for the management, commercial performance and successful delivery of multiple complex, multi-discipline design-and-build projects.
  • Lead, support and develop a team of project managers and engineers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Manage the full end-to-end project life-cycle, from design and planning through to implementation and handover.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for customers, building and maintaining strong, effective relationships with key client representatives.
  • Manage a key infrastructure account within the Infrastructure Business Unit, ensuring full compliance with Framework and contractual obligations.
What you’ll bring:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in any related Engineering & Project Management qualification.
  • Electrical/electronic Engineering qualifications such as HNC, ONC or City and Guilds qualifications.
  • NEC4 Project Management Accreditation.
  • Previous experience of senior management in a utility contracting or similar environment.
  • Managing a P&L over £5 million.
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong Commercial Experience.
  • Experienced tendering and managing M&E contracts.
  • Budget control and estimating.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management.
  • Experience of leading and managing high performing teams.
  • Demonstrable growth mindset.
  • Previous experience of working in the Power and Energy sector.
