Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

As SHEW Coordinator, you will support in delivering for the Anglian Water framework which is growing with an increasing work stream. You will populate and manage SHEQ dashboards and compile KPI information and briefing notes for monthly and quarterly meetings with the wider SHE team and Leadership teams. Able to identify any trends using company dashboards. Liaising with different stakeholders on the SHEQ data such as accident/incident records, inspections, audits, and tours, compiling KPI information and briefing notes for monthly and quarterly meetings. Assist in information gathering for supporting tenders and 3rd party audits when requested. Monitor the close-out of actions from Incident and Accident investigations to ensure they are closed out within the agreed time scales. Support the SHEW Team with working initiatives and commitments to maintain traction and momentum. Assist in coordinating any events for the framework. Produce, review, and distribute SHEQ alerts and briefings as required, maintaining a reference library of documentation on the intranet. Assist with coordinating and rolling out appropriate Health, Safety and Well-being initiatives. Communicate and support the cascade of essential SHEQ information from M Group Services across the framework. Attend meetings as and when required to assist with notetaking, minute-capturing, and tracking of actions. Provide support and a link to the M Group Marketing and Communications department.

Where we are able, we work flexibly, believing that empowered colleagues are happier and more productive. In this role, there may be an opportunity to work in a flexible way. This will mean splitting your time, based on business need, between the office, regional sites and home. There will also be a need to travel for key meetings.

What you’ll bring

  • Do you have a Health and Safety or environmental qualification? NEBOSH/IOSH would be desirable but not essential.
  • Are you experienced in the water/utilities or construction industry?
  • Do you have a keen analytical eye for detail when reviewing reports, data and presentations?
  • Can you work on your own initiative, managing a varied workload and engaging with other SHEQ teams and stakeholders?
  • Can you communicate and be personable at all organisational levels, building and maintaining relationships?
