Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom. This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, which supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.
What will you be doing?
- Lead, mentor and develop the back-office support team
- Manage Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) processes, ensuring full compliance, including SORN and new vehicle additions
- Oversee inbound and outbound processing of NIPs, PCNs, tolls, fees and fines, including challenging costs to drive savings
- Manage customer damage recharges, including lease costs, internal/external PFS, windscreens and tyres
- Ensure all core systems are accurate and up to date
- Develop and manage accident and telematics processes, including monitoring VOR and installations
- Hold P&L responsibility, managing costs effectively and delivering required reporting
- Support budget setting, KPIs and performance targets with the management team
- Drive continuous improvement, sharing best practice and supporting system enhancements
What you’ll bring
- Deliver 100% VED compliance across all fleet and plant assets
- Effectively challenge NIPs and PCNs, evidencing and reporting cost savings
- Ensure all damage charges are processed in line with MHA/SLA agreements
- Develop and maintain a robust accident management process
- Meet or exceed all SLA and P&L targets
- Ensure timely completion of reports, budgets, and performance targets
- Build strong working relationships with the wider M Group Plant & Fleet teams
