Where you'll be working?

BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing?

  • You’ll review tender opportunities and support bid/no-bid decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
  • You’ll develop accurate, competitive proposals by collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and clients to gather the information required.
  • You’ll ensure proposals are clear, commercially robust and submitted for approval in line with company procedures.
  • You’ll support successful project delivery by attending handover meetings and ensuring a smooth transition to the project team.
  • You’ll attend site visits where required to understand client needs, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
  • You’ll identify and escalate any commercial, technical or contractual risks, ensuring they are appropriately communicated and recorded.

What you'll bring?

  • Experience with LV systems, PLCs, HMIs or SCADA systems.
  • The ability to interpret client requirements across hardware and software solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience producing cost estimates and competitive project proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating tools.
  • A strong technical understanding of Low Voltage and/or System Integration solutions.
  • Experience assessing project scope, specifications and bid/no-bid opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities and work to demanding deadlines.
  • A good understanding of contractual arrangements and industry best practice.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and training.
