Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our MEICA Specialist Engineering Team (formerly PMP Utilities), working out of our Burnley depot.
What will you be doing?
- Working within our fast-paced MEICA Specialist Engineering Team, you will be involved in the delivery of jobs from initial surveys, through to on-site completion and close out.
- Supporting across our planned and reactive delivery streams, the jobs you will be involved in will range from short duration repair and support jobs, through to full pumping station and storm chamber fit outs.
- Providing technical support to both the field and office engineering teams.
- Carrying out site surveys based upon client requirements, and collating estimates for the required remediation.
- Writing risk assessment and method statements, as part of the wider pre-job briefings and setting people to work.
- Support the Project Delivery team in procuring materials, maintaining job progress, and making all parties aware of risks and delays.
What you’ll bring
- A proven track record of mechanical engineering within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in being able to handle a high volume of short duration site-based works.
- An understanding of the water and wastewater process, and the types of equipment in each is beneficial.
- Knowledge of temporary works, confined space working and rope access is beneficial.
- Valid UK driving licence.
