Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK. You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and reporting to the Suffolk Highways Business Director
- Overall responsibility for the professional services provided by Suffolk Highways
- Collaborate with client and other Suffolk Highways teams, including construction, commercial and programme management, to deliver coherent solutions
- Reviewing and agreeing technical briefs for work
- Ensure work complies with required Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and internal quality standards and processes
- Senior focal point for internal customer liaison/communication
- Ensure effective utilisation and co-ordination of technical resources including professional services supply chain, including full P&L responsibility
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- Experience of leading and managing a large multi-disciplinary team in a senior management position.
- Extensive project management experience/skills.
- Extensive design and construction experience in the highway and maintenance sector.
- Experience of financial management and reporting, management of commercial issues, management of risk and opportunity.
- Extensive experience of resource planning, programme management, including use of ASTA Enterprise software or similar.
- Experience of managing CDM in design and construction.
- Computer literate particularly with packages such as CAD, Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience of the NEC suite of contract documents and contract administration.
- UK/EEC driving licence.
