This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
As our new Electrical Construction Manager, you will lead on all Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability requirements, covering Water and Water Recycling non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects. Acting as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015, you’ll ensure full compliance across all delivered construction. By guiding local construction delivery teams, you’ll help achieve key milestones and maintain high-quality service for our customers.
In this role, you’ll manage site construction teams across allocated portfolios to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget. You will facilitate project kick-off meetings, complete health checks, and oversee tier 2 supplier performance, ensuring RAMS are appropriate and robust. You’ll also take ownership of Constructability Reviews, Project Rehearsals and Fit for Assembly sign-off, promoting innovation and best practice throughout delivery. A strong focus on zero waste, reducing embodied carbon and implementing a blend of standardised and innovative construction methods will be central to your approach.
Working closely with the Lead Construction Manager, you’ll support the development of long- and short-term resource plans covering labour, plant and materials. You’ll ensure site teams raise timely contractual and commercial notices, reinforcing effective communication across the wider project team. Through strong leadership, technical excellence and proactive management, you will help maintain our position as an industry leader in safe, efficient and innovative construction delivery.
Working in a fast-paced non-infrastructure and infrastructure environment to complement your HNC/Degree in Civil or Construction Management. Experience in dealing with large structures in the Water industry is essential. Ensuring you provide the highest levels of safety management to our teams, customers and environment.
You’ll demonstrate excellent communication skills and will be performance-driven, with proven experience of managing multiple stakeholder groups both internal and external to the organisation.
