This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days working from our office in Bootle.
We're looking for an established Estimator with experience in assessing bid opportunities, leading to a bid/no-bid review. Are you able to evaluate project risks and potential problems, whilst checking the accuracy and completeness of clients' tender documents? Do you have a talent for determining the Civils BofQ for pricing? Do you share our passion in the journey to Net Zero?
- An estimating background from a civil environment (trenching, drainage and ductwork installations, kerbing, reinforced concrete foundations)
- Experience of delivering capital projects
- Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of forms of contract (NEC, ICE & JCT)
- Understanding of how electrical infrastructure is constructed, operated and maintained with an appreciation of National Grid and DNO Standards
- Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft, particularly Excel
- Organised with a high attention to detail and the ability to react to constantly changing workloads
- Understanding of the planning and sequencing of construction projects
