Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom. This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, which supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you'll work closely with the Workshop Controller to prioritise tasks and keep our operations running smoothly. You'll take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy yard and workshop, ensuring walkways remain clear and vehicles are stored safely in their designated spots. You'll play a key part in handling vehicle returns, checking them in, and carrying out Off-Hire Inspections using a PDA. Preparing vehicles is also a big part of what we do—you’ll be responsible for valeting, applying and removing livery, carrying out minor smart repairs, and completing Pre-Hire Checks. Beyond vehicle care, you’ll also be responsible for managing deliveries and collections, and overseeing contract vehicles and personnel entering the site. Safety is key, so you’ll act as a vehicle banksman, ensuring smooth and secure movement practices. Your role will also involve supporting compliance with our Operator License commitments and stepping in to assist the Fleet Supervisor whenever needed.
