Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll undertake type 1 and type 2 pressure tests in accordance with the relevant specification along with cleansing/chlorination of potable water pipes in accordance with the relevant specification.
  • You’ll take a full suite of bacteriological and physical water quality samples and complete required sample run sheets.
  • We’ll need you to deliver to client laboratories in the prescribed timescales and support the clean water programme.
  • We’ll also need you to Perchlorinate HPPE coils that involves disinfecting drinking water pipelines to kill bacteria and contaminants before they are commissioned.

What you’ll bring

  • Do you hold a full clean driving licence?
  • Do you understand the relevant specifications?
  • Do you possess a good standard of written English and mathematics?
  • Are you someone who can be adaptable to changing working patterns (early starts, late finishes and weekends)?
  • Can you work in line with risk assessments and method statements?
  • Have you gained a EUSR Hydrostatic pressure testing qualification? This is desirable as training and accreditation can be given.
