Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. You’ll provide design leadership across small to large infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary in-house and external design teams including civil, MEICA, process, and geotechnical engineers to deliver compliant, high-quality designs on time and within budget. Ensure all outputs meet client requirements, technical standards, and UK legislative obligations, including full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations. Working closely with senior leadership and delivery teams, help establish robust design processes, procedures, and governance to support right-first-time design delivery. Manage design programmes, technical risk, change control, resourcing, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with construction and operational needs. Act as the primary technical interface with clients and stakeholders, embedding buildability and operational requirements into designs while championing innovation, sustainability, and low-carbon solutions. Place strong emphasis on health and safety by ensuring design risks are identified, mitigated, and clearly communicated for the construction phase. I also mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing design environment.
