Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?

As our Operational Task Team Leader, you’ll be instrumental in driving the repair and maintenance team responsible for Yorkshire Water’s clean water distribution system. Your remit will include managing the daily schedule of works, setting up compliant live sites, and demonstrating an excellent level of customer engagement. We’ll need you to have a good understanding of health & safety procedures and to check and report vehicle defects or maintenance - this is essential! To excel in this role, you’ll need to be someone who is dedicated to safety procedures. This role requires an individual who is highly skilled in managing a team, setting up live sites compliant with legislation, and engaging with customers effectively. You’ll be working with a team of skilled professionals, and you’ll be responsible for maintaining Yorkshire Water’s clean water distribution system.

What you’ll bring

  • Good knowledge of Street works and the red book
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Proven experience of working in the water industry on R&M contracts
  • Good understanding of how to read safe dig plans and experience of excavating within the highway
  • Basic I.T. skills
