Where will you be working?

This role is based in the BGEN Macclesfield office. BGEN works with world-leading organisations in the pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences and healthcare sectors as well as hi-tech industries to create cutting-edge cleanrooms, laboratories and other sophisticated facilities for the discovery, development and manufacturing of life changing medicines and technologies. Committed to innovation and excellence in all we do, our specialist services encompass consultancy, design, construction, commissioning and validation delivering turnkey projects throughout the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • You will manage the commercial side of a busy project portfolio, keeping costs on track across multiple projects.
  • You will oversee subcontractor applications, direct labour, and materials, and you will estimate works using the agreed schedule of rates.
  • You will lead procurement, from tender enquiries to fair weighted scoring.
  • You will guide project changes through EWNs and CEs, and you will produce accurate monthly forecasts by reviewing daybooks and tracking cost-to-complete against programme.
  • You will also prepare monthly valuations and invoices, ensuring smooth, transparent delivery for teams and clients.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in highly regulated environments is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years, post-grad experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience in Estimating / Tendering.
  • Experience of NEC4 Option A & Option B Contract Management.
  • Experience of working with CEMAR contract software is preferred.
  • Strong in effective Change Management.
  • Ability to complete 'Take-Off's' from Technical Drawings.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-discipline Engineering team.
