What will you be doing?
- Manage and supervise a wide range of highway-based projects on-site ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, to budget and in accordance with the HSEQ standards required by M Group and Oxfordshire County Council (OCC).
- Be responsible for day-to-day management of site tasks.
- Aid the other site agents / works manager with the development of the construction programmes and methodology utilising existing knowledge & experience and through engagement with Key Supply Chain.
- Manage all risks effectively on site and ensure adherence to risk management processes.
- Ensure in-house and subcontract personnel are competent and fully trained to undertake their work.
- Liaise with commercial team, designers, and site teams to manage changes identified on site.
- Delivering the services in line with the contract requirements and to the satisfaction of the client and their customers.
- To ensure the highest possible Health and safety standards are employed across all sites, adhering to M Group’s health and safety policy and actively supporting the It Starts With Me (ISWM) culture that is an integral part of the M Group working environment.
- To ensure the effective management of all time, cost and quality aspects, while managing all of the day-to-day activities on a range of infrastructure related projects.
What you will bring
- Possession of SSTS/SMSTS CSCS (Gold supervisor card Desirable).
- Driving licence.
- First Aid.
- NRSWA (Supervisor).
- Suitable levels of experience in supervision, project management & delivery management of Highway improvement and public realm work, in particular surface treatments (desirable).
- A detailed understanding of health and safety management and the requirements of CDMA working knowledge of quality and environmental standards for highway improvement work.
- Commercially aware with knowledge of budget and cost control processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of NEC Term Service Contract (desirable).
